Joe FitzGibbon

Hi! I was rescued from a life of delinquency by the sheer grace of God at the age of 15 years. I dread to think of where I would be today if it were not for the extraordinary intervention of Jesus my Lord. I went on to study medicine and qualified as a medical doctor from NUIG in 1981 (see www.joefitzgibbon.ie for my professional interests).

I then met Aoife, promptly fell in love and we married in 1982. We have four wonderful children, Aisling, Fiona, Brian and Caoimhe.

I love to study the Bible in some depth and I’m even trying my hand at Classical Hebrew – that beautiful language of the original Old Testament Scripture.

In my spare time I like to keep fit by swimming and playing five-a-side soccer. I am also a keen scuba diver.
